| 32bit color depth Indicates the use of 4 billion different colors. Graphics cards are supporting up to 32-bit corlor, but the human eye cannot discern between colors at that level, and you need more memory on your graphics card. Color scanners, however, often go up to 32-bit color depth. This usually results in a better quality scan, even though the color difference between two pixels may not be perceptible.
3D (3-dimensional) This refers to the representation of objects in a space by length, width and height (three planes). On a computer display device, 3D objects are typically represented on a the 2D surface of a flat screen, but are computed as if they were actually in a three dimensional environment.
3DNow! This is a set of 3D / multimedia floating point instructions first introduced in AMD's K6-2 processor. Newer processor from AMD support the instructions as well. 3DNow! consists of 21 new instructions.
3ivx 3ivx is a DivX variant codec. Unfortunatelly not the best choice for a codec - rather use DivX.
Files with this extension can be renamed to an AVI file. See also DivX.
