| 100BaseT See Fast Ethernet. This is an extension of 10BaseT that runs 10 times faster. It's theoretically capable of 100 Mbps transmission speed. The drawback for some installations is that it requires more expensive Category 5 cable to run at high speeds, where 10BaseT will run on Category 3, 4, or 5 cable.
1080i HDTV format of 1920x1080 interlace.

10Base2 See Thin Ethernet and BNC connector.
10BaseT See Twisted Pair.
1394 IEEE See FireWire. Also know as iLink, IEEE-1394.
16:9 Aspect ratio (width vs height) most commonly known as widescreen or letterbox. It is wider than the standard 4:3 aspect ratio. 16:9 supporters state that the wider picture corresponds much better to the human visual field than the almost square 4:3. Other mention the fact that it matches the cinema screen format better. In Europe more and more broadcasts are done in 16:9.
16bit color depth Indicates the use of 32,768 different colors. Good for most games, insufficient for photographs.
